Dragon Age: The Veilguard

This game took me over five months to complete only because it wore out its welcome about 50 or so hours in and I had to work myself into wanting to play it again since I was pretty close to the ending from my first bout of playing it over the first couple months. Over all I think it's pretty okay the characters are totally forgettable and not really worth investing in outside of a select few Belara was a stand out to me and possibly Harding but outside of that they weren't all that interesting. I agree with the vast majority of people saying that Tash was probably the worst of the bunch and it didn't help that her and Harding were the representation for the LGBTQ+ community. I think the stand outs of this game were the mechanics of collecting loot where if you collect multiples of the same loot it levels up the rarity of the loot instead of having random drops it always goes in order. I think that many other RPGs can learn from this loot system and I hope to see it in future games. The combat systems are pretty good and the builds are varied even though there are only 3 classes they are quite expansive to what you can do with them. It's a shame that the enemy variety in this game doesn't really challenge that and at higher difficulties it just boils down to damage sponges. The amount of dragons I had to fight in this game with the same attack patterns was staggering to the point where I was actually shocked the final boss fight wasn't also a dragon.
